swimming lessons

Tom and I took Riley up to the cabin again for Labor Day weekend. Tom had a bike race at Maple Lag on Sunday... but they don't allow dogs, so Ry and I hung out at the cabin all weekend. Tom's friends JJ, Anne, Deet and Jack came up Saturday for Sunday's race, too. Riley still isn't too sure about water... she likes to walk into it, and bite at the waves, but she doesn't like to actually swim.

Tom coaxed her in with a piece of driftwood.

artsy shot of the dock and my fave person and pup :)

Ry's new trick - biting and pulling on her leash.

We got home last night (Monday) which was weird, because I am used to being in crazed back to school mode. This year, with subbing and nannying to look forward to, I'm pretty relaxed. I knew I would want something planned for back to school day, so I scheduled Riley's spay operation for today. I dropped her off at 8am, and she'll stay overnight until we can pick her up at 10am tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll get motivated to clean, and she'll come home to a sparkling clean home tomorrow.

Love,
Laura and the nearly sterile pup :)
