Welcome, Huck!

He's spoiled already... we didn't let Riley on the couches at all when she was little. (we do now, though)

snoozing on the car ride home
Meeting big sister, Riley, for the first time.
He's 7 weeks old, clumsy and uncoordinated. But, he's a quick learner. In the few days since he's been home, he has learned how to navigate the steps to get outside, as well as the deck stairs. He's doing great at night, sleeping in his kennel, and getting up twice to go outside, and letting us sleep in on our last few days of summer vacation. The first two nights, he only whined a tiny bit, and would calm down if I layed outside his kennel on the floor. So far (knock on wood) he has tolerated the kennel much better than Ry did in her early days.
Tom took Riley camping up North with the boys this weekend, so Huck and I are having bonding time. Hopefully we'll end up with Ry, our daddy's girl, and Huck, a momma's boy.
He is pretty much newspaper trained (from the whelping box at the breeder's), so when we're gone for more than 2 hrs he will use the newspapers by the door.
Thanks for the toy, aunt Kate! This one is currently Huck's favorite!
