Sweet Abbie

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Tom's parents' dog, Abbie, passed away yesterday. She had apparently started showing signs of fatigue over the past few days, and when they brought her in, there wasn't anything that could be done. They were going to take her home for one last night so that everyone could say their goodbyes, but she didn't make it home from the vet. Abbie was a great dog, and our Riley's aunt, so she will always hold a special place in our hearts. She came with on the day we picked out Riley, and helped us make the right choice. She has also kept me company at more than a few bike races, cheering on Tom and Bill.
